Flowers and Clay -- an Annual Tradition

This past weekend we hosted our first ever Flowers and Clay event at the farm. The event is a collaboration between Carolina Flowers and Josh Copus Pottery. Josh is my husband. (Emily, here.) He’s been working on the pottery property for 12 years now, and it’s an impressive collection of stonework, carpentry projects, hardscaping, ceramic art and more. It’s also home to his three woodfire pottery kilns, the largest of which is 27 feet long. And we use the garden space for perennials, trial plants and high value crops like peonies. The farm fields are located close by.

Flowers and Clay Asheville

Flowers and Clay is a chance to explore the pottery and farm properties and learn about our processes. Plus, we had flowers and pottery for sale. And pizza from our woodfire oven!

Flower Farm Tour Asheville

We were so impressed with the turnout. We think between 300 and 400 people visited our tucked away cove, and more than 100 people toured the farm in various small groups throughout the weekend.

We are so grateful for the success of this event, and we’re bringing it back! Mark your calendar for July 18 and 19, 2020!
